User Actions
User actions trigger predefined functions (actions) and make GNOME Commander very flexible. They are accessed by a key or set of keys (shortcut key).
Managing user actions
The menu for user actions and associated keyboard shortcuts can be opened by clicking on
. Below, the usage of the dialog is explained. In the keyboard shortcut dialog a table with three columns is shown:
Shortcut Key: Key combination the user has to press to perform the action.
Action: Action to perform by pressing the shortcut key.
Options: Some user actions require an option to perform the action, e.g. the command to be executed by the "Execute command" action.
You can Add a new shortcut and Remove a selected one with the related buttons on the right.
The default dialog window is shown in the figure Pintasan Papan Tik below.
Available user actions are shown in the table List of user actions below.
Find the default key bindings in the previous section Pintasan Papan Tik.
It's possible to assign more than one key combinations to an action. To do so, click on the Add button, choose a new shortcut and choose the action which is already assigned to another shortcut. Some actions are already assigned to multiple shortcuts by default.
Key bindings are stored in the <KeyBindings> section of GNOME Commander config file (~/.gnome-commander/gnome-commander.xml).
